The Desert's Grifthouse

'''The Desert's Grifthouse''' (Makista Sabban, Binut Drudach, Grand Ward, Calimport) is the headquarters of the Guild of Glassblowers and Bottle-Makers. Near the top of the two-story minaret attached to the two-story building is a 6-foot-high hourglass that magically flips itself within its minaret stand upon filling its bottom level. The sands within are blood red, and the hourglass takes four hours exactly to fill each time. As the top base of the hourglass is of gold and the bottom of silver, folk can roughly gauge time by the Desert’'s Gifthouse (an oblique reference to the glass they sell within).
